Hi Friends,
Greetings in the name of the Lord. Our transition to the State of Texas from Wisconsin has been smooth partly due to the fellowship and kindness of members of the Mar Thoma Church of Dallas, Carrollton. The joy we get worshiping God together is unique and cannot be obtained otherwise. K.P. Thomas Achen and family have been key leaders in providing guidance and leadership to the Church Community.
In the 20th chapter of Mathew, Jesus describes how God the Master calls laborers to work in his vineyard, the Kingdom of God. Workers are called at the different stages of history mentioned as the 3rd , 6th, 9th and the 11th hour. I believe that we are the people being called by the Master to be laborers for Him at the 11th hour just before Christ’s Second Coming. According to verse 16, The 11th hour laborers are called and rewarded even earlier than the Prophets and Great Apostles. We have to make sure that our lamps are filled with oil as we are ready to receive the Great Bridegroom.
In the book of Job, he goes through sufferings. Naturally questions come one after the other. Towards the end of the book, God asks some questions to Job, which we need to read and try to understand. When He created the universe how accurately were the planets and the galaxy positioned. If there was a slight variation for the angle at which the earth revolves around the sun, God asks Job, “Do you know the possible consequences?” The consequences would be devastating. Looking at ‘the Creation versus Evolution’ controversy, it is simpler for me to believe than God created us. The kind of specificity and unity in diversity of the living processes is hard to come by as a result of an evolutionary process. The theory of evolution still remains a theory.
God has been good to us. He kept His promises even when we didn’t. We all need to take time to look back and reflect on how He has kept us in the palm of His Hands. In the midst of turmoil and winds that face us daily, isn’t it good to know that when Jesus Christ is on our boat, it does not sink. When we look at how great God is and how much He cares for you and me, we start loving Him more and more. God Bless you.
